Pressure Effect on Organic Conductors

چکیده
Pressure is a powerful tool to unveil the profound nature of electronic properties in a variety of organic conductors. Starting from technology of high pressure, we plan to review what kind of physics or phenomena have previously been discussed.

Mott-Anderson Transition in Molecular Conductors: Influence of Randomness on Strongly Correlated Electrons in the κ-(BEDT-TTF)2X System
The Mott-Anderson transition has been known as a metal-insulator (MI) transition due to both strong electron-electron interaction and randomness of the electrons. For example, the MI transition in doped semiconductors and transition metal oxides has been investigated up to now as a typical example of the Mott-Anderson transition for changing electron correlations by carrier number control in co...
متن کاملField effect on organic charge-ordered/Mott insulators
Electrostatic carrier injection into insulating molecular conductors has been examined by fabricating field effect transistor structure in two kinds of procedures. One procedure employed a direct growth of the organic single crystals by electrochemical reaction on platinum electrodes deposited on the gate dielectric. In the other procedure very thin crystals were laminated on the substrate in e...
متن کاملElectron Spin Resonance in Organic Conductors Based on (BEDT-TTF) with Linear Anions
The Conduction Electron Spin Resonance (CESR) Spectroscopy which starts from classical works of Dyson (1), Feher and Kip (2) in 1955 was successively developed for simple metals. It appears this phenomena could be used as a unique instrument for the investigations of conduction electron kinetics. It becomes clear soon that a number of objects available for CESR observation is restricted because...
متن کاملSign Reversal of the Quantum Hall Effect and Helicoidal Magnetic-field-induced Spin-density Waves in Organic Conductors
Within the framework of the quantized nesting model, we study the effect of umklapp scattering on the magnetic-field-induced spin-density-wave (SDW) phases which are experimentally observed in the quasi-one-dimensional organic conductors (TMTSF)2X. We discuss the conditions under which umklapp processes may explain the sign reversals (Ribault anomaly) of the quantum Hall effect (QHE) observed i...
متن کاملSpin-density wave versus superconducting fluctuations for quasi-one-dimensional electrons in two chains of Tomonaga-Luttinger liquids.
We study possible states at low temperatures by applying the renormalization-group method to two chains of Tomonaga-Luttinger liquids with both repulsive intrachain interactions and interchain hopping. As the energy decreases below the hopping energy, three distinct regions I, III, and II appear successively depending on properties of fluctuations. The crossover from the spin-density wave (SDW)...
